At the end of the month, the annual All Japan Hobby Show 2018 will be held in Tokyo from 28 to 30 September. Tamiya will show the new Toyota Hilux Extra Cab based on the CC-01 chassis.
The model uses a full time 4WD system featuring a longitudinally positioned motor, which transmits power to the front wheels via the gearbox and to the rear wheels via a propeller shaft.
Front and rear differentials enable smooth cornering, and for even greater off-road performance on rough terrain the rear differential can be locked.
The chassis suspension employs doublewishbone front upper I-arms and lower H-arms plus rear rigid suspension. The four CVA oil shocks handle the model on even the roughest surfaces. It also looks the part, with cool 6-spoke wheels featuring metal plated bead lock style rims, plus mud terrain tires.
The Toyota Hilux Extra Cab kit will include the speed controller and the option LED system placed on the body.
We bring you more details as soon as they become available.
