The 60th edition of the Shizuoka Hobby Show has just ended. As tradition the Tamiya stand was the center of the show. Visitig the Tamiya’s booth was an opportunity to look closely and touch the new scale models that the Japanese brand had unveiled in recent months and which will soon arrive on the shelves of model shops all over the world.

The 59th edition of the Shizuoka Hobby Show is being held today and tomorrow at the legendary Twin Messe. This edition is reserved to the specialized press and buyers (so there will be no open days when traditionally thousands of fans visit the fair). During the event we will be able to discover all the new products proposed by brands such as Kyosho, Bandai, Sanwa, Futaba, Aoshima, Hasegawa and Tokyo Marui.

At the Shizuoka Hobby Show 2019, our colleagues at RC Monkey have discovered the prototype of a new remote control produced by the Japanese Ko Propo. The MC8 takes the form of video game pads and could revolutionize the world in which the “bashers” (not interested in competitions) will drive their own model cars.

Futaba during the Shizuoka Hobby Show has presented the new T32MZ FASSTest transmitter for RC airplane and helicopters. The radio has 18 channel with two displays, one is touchscreen for the telemetry data and the other for general display info.
The transmitter uses a FASSTest communication, contactless potentiometers providing long life and high-end accuracy, GPS, micro USB charging and much more. Below the official video from Futaba.
Ko Propo at the Shizuoka Hobby Show announced their forthcoming all-new EX-LDT radio system. The radio is a range above the current EX-RR and it features a new grip unit with updated lower battery compartment and the laydown trigger system.

The Shizuoka Hobby Show, the Japanese most important event for RC fans, has opened its doors. We can finally take an up-close look at the new Lunch Box Mini: the new 1/24th scale model part of the “Comical Wheelie Series” looks super-fun and is perfect for all the nostalgist who are still in love with the classic Lunch Box.
The Lunch Box Mini polycarbonate body is pre-painted and sits on top of the 4WD SW-01 chassis is attached to the body mounts using magnets for quick attachment.
Futaba at the Shizuoka Hobby Show presented the long awaited Low-Profile brushless servo HPS-CT700. The servo has an external aluminum case and develops a torque of 24.8kg/cm 0.09s at 6.0V. Among the features we find compatibility with the “SR” transmission system and a series of very precise servo parameter adjustments.

The 58th edition of the Shizuoka Hobby Show will be held from 9 to 12 May. The first two days are dedicated to the industry, and Saturday and Sunday (11 and 12 of May) they are open to the public. During the event we will be able to discover all the new products proposed by brands such as Kyosho, Bandai, Sanwa, Futaba, Aoshima, Hasegawa and Tokyo Marui.
Waiting the begin of this international event, Tamiya has published the first image of the Mini Lunch Box that will be show during the fair. The model is based on the SW-01 chassis and uses 1/10th Scale monster truck tires.
