Tamiya dropped a bomb: the Japanese giant is going to release the Ford Bronco 2021 built on the cross-country CC-02 chassis. The Ford Bronco has been sold since 1966, and the Ford Bronco 2021 was announced as the sixth-generation model in 2021, 25 years since the last generation’s release. This kit is in direct competition with Traxxas. Isn’t it?

Among the other new for this year Tamiya revealed their second modern era rally chassis kit platform: the all-new XV-02 Pro chassis kit! The first rally chassis incorporated a 4WD belt drive system with clever positioning of the RC electronic components with debris protection compartments. This new platform takes its 4WD drivetrain into a different direction by using a shaft-driven system with front mid-ship motor placement that incorporates equal length front and rear propeller shafts.

This year the Spielwarenmesse (the legendary Toy Fair in Nuremberg) has been cancelled so Tamiya is revealing online their lineup for the 2022. Our favorite model is the new member of the 1/14 Tractor Truck Series: the Scania 770 S 6×4 produced by the Swedish manufacturer Scania.
Multi-Function Control Unit offers light, sound, and vibration operation.

May 20th looks set to become “Tamiya Day“. On that day the Japanese brand will drop (at the same time worldwide) various models. In addition to the Thunder Shot Edition 2022, Tamiya will release a very fun TOYOTA Land Cruiser 40 Quadtrack.
Tamiya revealed the first model that will be show at the upcoming Spielwarenmesse trade show in Nuremberg (Germany). It’s the “2022” edition of the legendary Thunder Shot 1/10th 4WD buggy (originally released in 1987) that comes after the Fire Dragon, the Terra Scorcher and the Thunder Dragon.

To celebrate the beginning of the 2022 in style Tamiya is ready to release the 1990 Land Rover Defender 90 (on the CC-02 chassis with a polycarbonate body and a 540 Type brushed motor): a legendary Land Rover off-road car with roots that go back to 1948. Based on differences in wheelbases, this car has three types – the Defender 90/110/130. This replica depicts a 3-door model with 93-inch wheelbase.

Tamiya is going to release in teh coming weeks an impressive 1/14 scale electric RC replica of the Man TGX 26.540 6X4 XLX. Also known as transporters that are used by F1 teams today, this MAN Company’s tractor truck was awarded “The 2008 Truck of the Year.” This version of the MAN TGX is great for those without the time or confidence to apply a paint job to their kit, as cab parts molded in blue are pre-painted in Tamiya TS-54 Light Metallic Blue and given a urethane coating for finish.
