The 59th All Japan Model & Hobby Show, better know as the Tokyo Hobby Show, has just started and Kyosho got a huge booth to showcase all their new models that will hit the stores just in time for Christmas!

This year the Kyosho designers tried hard to make everyone happy: there is even a huge radio controlled Godzilla that is sold in collaboration with DeAgostini!!

Tamiya Ferrari 312T3 con telaio F104W at the tokyo hobby show booth 2018

At the Tokyo Hobby Show 2018 the re-release of the 1/10 scale replica of the Ferrari 312T3 made its debut at the Tamiya booth. This classic Ferrari Formula 1 car, build on Tamiya’s F104W chassis, is a special limited edition release and is already in the hobby stores.

The Ferrari 312T3 made its racing debut in the 1978 South African Grand Prix. Underneath it’s aerodynamically polished, wide body lay a 3-liter horizontally installed 12 cylinder engine with 510 horsepower of output. With drivers Carlos Reutemann and Gilles Villeneuve at the wheel, the Ferrari 312T3 took a total of 4 victories for the Grand Prix season and took second place in the 1978 Constructors Cup.

Tokyo Hobby Show 2018 Tamiya

A the Tokyo Hobby Show 2018 Tamiya have affocially announced the new 1/10 Scale R/C Car Comical Grasshopper (build on the WR-02CB Chassis): the mini parody of the legendary vintage buggy originally released in the 80s.

The kit version will be available from November 2018 (it will be possible to choose between the classic white body and the yellow one) while the Xpert Build (RTR) will be released later.

Japan – Tomorrow, at the Tokyo Big Sight, will open the All Japan Model & Hobby Show. We sneaked in and took some photos of the Kyosho booth. We saw the legendary designer Akira Kogawa so I wonder: what he was doing there? A new retro buggy from the 80s re-release?

Mini-Z EVO

Tomorrow Kyosho will present the new Mini-Z EVO at the Tokyo Hobby Show. The existing MINI-Z series has an installed receiver, servo and ESC in 1 controlled PCB unit. The new MR-03 EVO has a separate receiver, as a standalone unit.

Now, this allows you to choose your receiver module based on the radio you want to use. When the model is available it will be possible to use radios from Kyosho, KO Propo, Futaba and, in the future, Sanwa.

kyosho FAZER MK2 Tokyo hobby show 2018 display Rock Racer RAGE

At the Tokyo Hobby Show 2018, Kyosho will officially unveil the first models of the new series Fazer Mk2: a brand new platform designed by the legendary Akira Kogawa who is behind some of the most influential RC cars.

The cars based on this new chassis are the Rock Racer Rage 2.0 (that will be sold in two different color schemes both designed by Kyosho internal designer Katano) and the replica of the 2015 Dodge SRT Challenger bodywork HELLCAT “Plam Crazy Purple” body.

The new Fazer chassis uses a four-wheel drive transmission with two gear differentials, double wishbone suspension and short stroke oil dampers.
