Out of the box the Everest Gen8 is the perfect scale RC vehicle for exploring off-road terrain, but there comes a point where you wanna customize it. Redcat Racing have posted a new “How to” video that focus on installing the CNC Steel Gear Set (RER11474). This option part replaces the stock composite plastic Mod 1 gears.

The video shows what tools you need and what parts need to be removed to access the gears in the transmission and transfer case, and then illustrates how to properly install the new precision gear set.

Redcat Racing have also announced that it’s now selling Killerbody RC products (the company is specialized in both polycarbonate and hard plastic bodies, as well as detailed body accessories and LED light units).

Killerbody pays close attention to detail. A good example of that detail is the 1/10 scale cockpit set for their Landcruiser hardbody that is complete with floor pan, dashboard, full length seats, shifter, 4WD lever, emergency brake lever, foot pedals, illuminated gauge clusters, and turn signal levers. Another example of their attention to detail is the inner door skin set with working windows. Each window actually rolls down using the window crank, just like the full size vehicle.
