LEGO Lab, the platform where LEGO designers test their new ideas and collect feedback directly from the users, has just revealed the prototype of an incredibly advanced and “fully autonomous” LEGO Mindstorms Porsche 911 RSR set.
LEGO just released the incredible 1/8 scale replica of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 so our friend Sariel, the most famous LEGO Technic fan in the World, decided to compare it to the other two LEGO supercars: the 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the 42083 Bugatti Chiron.
Which is the best LEGO supercar? Let’s find out in the video below!
The Tamiya Porsche 911 GT1 Street race car is a classic RC model. Originally released as the Le Mans race car replica, this kit recreates the “Street Legal” car that was released for homologation purposes. This replica returns on the TA03R-S chassis, which is a short wheelbase variant of Tamiya’s highly successful and fun TA03 4WD touring car.
Exactly three years after LEGO’s legendary 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Billund’s designers choose to create a replica of the 911 RSR. This new set includes 1,580 pieces and is already on sale in Japan (will be available on December 26, while American AFOLs will have to wait till January first to buy it).
This new replica has been developed in partnership with Porsche, this authentic replica captures the vehicle’s powerful appearance with its sharp contours and aerodynamic detailing, including a rear wing with ‘swan neck’ mounts, extended rear diffuser and specially designed side mirrors.
