Here is some big news from Xray: The european brand released the new 1/8 scale racing buggy XB8 22 in both nitro and electric version (XB8E). Ty Tessmann set overall TQ at the last World Championships and finished in a superb 2nd Place position with the XRAY XB8 platform while the XB8E platform displayed its incredible performance advantage by winning the European Championships in the hands of Jean-Pierrick Sartel.
The 22th edition of the legendary Dirt Nitro Challenge has just been held in California. The race was started in 2000 by Joey “The Dirt” Christensen: a former art/sculpture major who combined his eye for design with his love for RC Racing. Since the start of his business in 1999, he now has 4 major races with another one potentially in the pipeline. Last year, Joey was able to make a permanent track facility in Perris, California where he now holds many weekly races along with the DNC.

Just announced over at Mugen Seiki the MBX8R Eco buggy that includes many of the same parts from the MBX8R. This racing car has been tested and develop by the best drivers in the world and you’ll be able to get your hands on one soon! The team at Mugen Seiki spent a lot of time testing and developing the MBX8R geometry in race conditions throughout 2021, which lead to many major victories. Ryan Maifield won The Dirt Nitro Challenge and ROAR 1/8th Electric Nationals again in 2021!
This buggy has many new parts to increase stability, rear traction, improved jumping, and have a wide tuning range.

This month Hobao is releasing the Hyper VS2 1/8 Buggy. You can choose between the busheless and the nitro version and as a RTR (Ready to Race) or ARR (Almost Ready to Race). With the RTR you will be ready to race in no time. The trolley is already completely pre-assembled and is equipped with the appropriate electronics. In addition, the streamlined body in a neon-yellow-gray mix rounds off the driving experience.
The electric version features a built-in 2.000kV brushless motor, together with the waterproof 100A ESC, offers unlimited fun.
Tamiya revealed the first model that will be show at the upcoming Spielwarenmesse trade show in Nuremberg (Germany). It’s the “2022” edition of the legendary Thunder Shot 1/10th 4WD buggy (originally released in 1987) that comes after the Fire Dragon, the Terra Scorcher and the Thunder Dragon.
