At the beginning of November, in Australia, the young Italian champion Davide Ongaro won his first 1/8 buggy world title at the IFMAR off road Worlds 2018. Team Associated have been on a quest for a 1:8 Off Road World title for over a decade and thanks to Davide the dream came true!

Davide Ongaro is the new 1:8 Offroad World Champion!

At the end of the one hour Final of the 2018 IFMAR 1/8th IC Off Road World Championships, the young Italian pilot Davide Ongaro (Team Associated) is the new 1/8 Offroad World Champion. Davide is the youngest winner of this title. Behind him the Top Qualifier Ty Tessmann followed by the pole sitter Ryan Maifield.

2018 IFMAR 1/8th Off Road World Championships

In Perth, Australia, the last qualifying round of the 2018 IFMAR 1/8th Off Road Worlds has just ended. The overall top qualifier is Ty Tessmann (Xray) followed by David Ronnefalk (HB Racing) and Davide Ongaro (Associated). All three drivers have won two qualifying rounds setting the best time. Ronnefalk won the first and fifth, Tessmann the second and third and Davide Ongaro the fourth and sixth.

2018 IFMAR 1/8th IC Off Road World

The last round of the 2018 IFMAR 1/8th Off Road Worlds qualifications has ended. The Italian Associated driver Davide Ongaro won this sixth qualifying round with a 7.5 sec margin from Ty Tessmann (Xray), who arrived second. Spencer Rivkin took third place, a few hundredths of a second from Tessmann.

2018 IFMAR 1/8th IC Off Road World Championships

David Ronnefalk (HB Racing) opened the final day of qualifying with first place in the fifth round at the 2018 IFMAR 1/8th IC Off Road World Championships. Even today, Davide Ongaro (AE) is running fast and took second place with less than 3 second from Ronnefalk. A good run for Spencer Rivkin led him to third place with only a few hundredths of a second from his italian team-mate.

Robert Batlle was the best of the Mugen drivers obtaining fourth place, followed by CJ Jelin (Xray) and Jared Tebo (Kyosho). Below the results of the best 16 drivers in the fifth round and the overall ranking.
