Tamiya: WILD ONE MAX – A crazy full scale “RC” buggy!

The Little Car Company is developing, in collaboration with Tamiya, the Wild One MAX for release in 2022. Rather than being 1/10th scale, the Wild One MAX will be an impressive 8/10th scale, and you will not need an RC controller, because it is big enough to drive yourself!

If you grownup in the 1980s you definitely love classics like the Hornet, Lunchbox, Sand Scorcher & Avante. The original Tamiya Wild One (58050) was released in 1985 and became one of the brand’s most iconic models. Such was the popularity of the model it was even re-released in 2012 (58525) to further acclaim.

Tamiya: Comical Hotshot GF-01CB

Next month during the Shizuoka Hobby Show, Tamiya will officially unveil the 1/10 Comical Hotshot GF-01CB. First shown back in 1985, the legendary Hotshot buggy is now back in comical form with a shortened, “toon” body on the GF-01CB 4WD chassis complete with a pre-painted body, Hotshot livery, large rear wing and dual antennas.

Recently Tamiya hasrvealed the 2020 Ford GT Mk II: an amazing 1/10 scale RC car modeled after the legendary 1966 GT40 MKII. Only 45 of the hand-built rides will be produced, making them a very sought after vehicle.

Mini 4WD 99 Cup in Abruzzo: Event Report

Exactly one year later Mini 4WD Sport comes back to the Italian region of Abruzzo, for the second edition of the “99 Cup tournament” held in L’Aquila city as part of the Fantasy Fest “Sulle Tracce del Drago”.
The two days tournament took place in conjunction with the 2 years anniversary since the start of the “Mini 4WD Sport” project, an excellent opportunity to celebrate this game, which has become a reference point in Italy for those who want to approach this “modeling sport”.

Tamiya: TA07 MSX 1/10th scale 4WD chassis kit

Tamiya announced the released in December of the new TA07 MSX racing chassis kit. Evolution of the TA07 MS, this single belt 4wd 1/10th scale touring car is available in 2.25mm thick carbon and 2.0mm thick aluminum suitable for high grip road surfaces to support various surface conditions.

Combined with a vertically arranged 2.0mm thick upper deck, it creates supple roll characteristics while ensuring pitching rigidity.

Tamiya: Roborace DevBot 2.0 – Mini 4WD Ma Chassis

Tamiya decided to celebrate the DevBot 2.0: an electric racing car being used for Season Alpha competitions and developed by Roborace. The hardware is the same for each team so the only differentiator is the AI driver software the teams develop for the competition.

This futuristic racing car is all-electric and runs on the Nvidia DRIVE platform when in autonomous mode and can be driven by a human or artificial intelligence.

Tamiya: VOLVO FH16 Globetrotter 750 8×4 – New Video

Tamiya has released a brand new video of the 750hp engine FH16 Globetrotter 750 8×4 Tow Truck. This RC assembly kit model has a realistic body and movable mechanism to allow towing. The front mounted TR Mighty Tuned motor (35T) provides ample power to the two rear axles, via a three-speed transmission. Gear changes are also possible via transmitter controls, and the model can tow subjects such as 1/14 scale RC tractor trucks.

Tamiya has released an impressive replica of the 750hp engine FH16 Globetrotter 750 8×4 Tow Truck. Volvo is a renowned actor in the global commercial vehicle market, with one of their flagship brands being the FH Series that underwent a full model change in 2012.

This Radio Controlled model assembly features a realistic body, and movable mechanism to allow towing. Gear changes are also possible via transmitter controls.
