Xray X12 2020

After the teaser of a few days ago, Xray has released the images and features of the new X12 2020. The kit is based on the successful X12 platform and the all-new X12 which incorporates the latest improvements and refinements gathered by the Xray team drivers around the world.

The X12 was split into two different platforms, EU and US, each optimized for different track conditions out of the box.

XT8E

Xray continues to update its models and this time it’s the turn of the 2019 XT8E 1/8th Scale electric truggy kit. Based on the XT8 platform, this new electric kit incorporates the latest improvements and refinements of the XT8. The chassis uses a all-new front suspension geometry featuring new C-hubs and steering blocks along and features front and rear CVD drive shafts, zero king pin steering block with exchangeable steering plates for Ackermann adjustment and a rear shock tower redesigned to fit the new wing mount and gearbox brace.

Also the we will find a new 40% lighter wing mount for super-low CG with new mounting locations, softer ribbed shock membranes and 2.6mm front anti-roll bar improved corner speed. The chassis design is fully compatible between XT8 & XT8E platforms.

4-shoe clutch

Xray announced a new 4-shoe clutch set for XB8 buggy and XT8 truggy. Complete set of 4-shoe clutch system includes flywheel, lightweight medium aluminum clutch shoes, gold (soft) clutch springs and assembly screws.

The 4-shoe clutch design allows for super-easy clutch setting from soft to hard setting, each suitable for different track conditions and racing style. The clutch features smaller, lighter internal parts, and the design allows for more balanced clutch bell engagement compared to the traditional 3-shoe design.

Xray Racing Series: 2019 Grand Final Report

Racing Report – The 2019 Grand Final of the Xray Racing Racing Series was held at the Hudy Racing Arena in Trencin, Slovakia (eastern Europe) during the first weekend of May. Due to unpredictable weather conditions the event was run both  indoor and outdoor (electric and nitro classes). Our collegues at Red RC were there to report from the track.
